Have you Registered A Walk? Here is some information on what to do when   Submit your registration (Wait for the pop up before leaving the page)

• If you don’t wait for the pop up, your registration will not come through to us.

  To confirm your walk

• You will receive an email within 24 hours of registering your walk.
• You MUST reply to this email to confirm your walk.
• If you have not received an email within 24 hours (check spam) email us at registrations@greatglobalgreyhoundwalk.co.uk with the Country / County / Town of your walk

  One month before

• Contact your local paper to check their deadlines for stories, use the press release sample or your own eye-catching wording to make a submission
• Ask if they can do a feature on Greyhounds / Sighthounds
• Ask if you can have a free advert as it is a charitable event
• Contact your local radio station and see if they can promote your event
• Advertise your walk for sighthound owners in pet shops / vets etc (posters here)

  Health and Safety

• If you haven’t already done so, consider if you need to do a risk assessment.  Form here. Ensure you have all the necessary permissions

  One week before

• Recheck the venue and make any necessary changes to the risk assessment / route that maybe needed

  Friday before the walk

• On Friday evening before the walk (Saturday morning for walks in Australasia and Asia), check you have received the email from us detailing how to send us the number of sighthounds who attended your walk (check spam).
• If you have not received this email, contact us at registrations@greatglobalgreyhoundwalk.co.uk with your Country / County / Town (please don’t leave this until the day of the walk)

  On the day

• Count the TOTAL number of sighthounds at your walk and reply to the email sent to you on Friday by 6pm your local time with this information registrations@greatglobalgreyhoundwalk.co.uk
• Photos: Remember to take them and post to our Facebook and Instagram page.
• If you want your photos to be added to our website or used on the promo video / posters email them to us at team@greatglobalgreyhoundwalk.co.uk Don’t forget to add your Country and County / Region so we know where you are in the world!

  After the walk

• Relax and put your feet up
• Look through the lovely photos on our Facebook and Instagram pages
• Keep a look out on our social media and website for the total number of sighthounds around the global who took part in this year’s GGGW!
• Contact your local paper and see if they will do a feature
• Get ready to plan your next GGGW and keep an eye out for next year’s date and theme!
